I’ve started - and stopped - this blog several times over the last decade.
Today, I granted myself the freedom to begin again, and I’ll share it with friends after completing 30 posts and three pages.
I’ve been overweight most of my life. In 2015 I hit an all-time high of 323 pounds. I managed to lose 53 pounds - and keep it off. This past year I managed to lose ten more pounds.
Getting under & staying under 300 means I can get under 200 - even if it’s just by a pound.
Checking-ins and weekly Zooms with my Body Buddy are a must.
This past Friday they inspired me to get serious about a food journal. And here we are.
“What is a Body Buddy?
It is an objective person with whom you can be completely candid. This means the person must be selected with care. You do not want an enabler, someone who tells you you don’t need to lose weight, that your inner beauty shines forth. Nor do you need a punitive “keeper,” someone who treats each mouthful you consume as a crime. You are looking for a person who is balanced, kind, and yet objective. Ideally you will check in with this person daily.” — Julia Cameron, The Writing Diet
